The 7 Deadly Sins of Mobile Apps with Jonathan Kohl - Jan 7

Abstract:
The best mobile experiences are those that work for us wherever we are, and whenever we need them. Great mobile solutions are empowering, and allow us to be informed, productive, and entertained while we are on the move. To support these fantastic opportunities, mobile technology is complex, and there are several dimensions to understand when creating a mobile experience. While it is tempting to approach mobile apps the same way we always have, mobile devices have unique considerations that are different from web and PC experiences. Failing to take these into account results in buggy releases, and poor customer experiences. Inevitably, these end up as "#fail rants" on social media harming our image and reputation. It doesn't have to be that way.

Using the 7 Deadly Sins of Mobile Apps as a guide, Jonathan Kohl describes some of the common pitfalls of mobile experiences and how to avoid them. This talk is a light hearted introduction to a serious topic.
