A Systems-Thinking Approach to Test Automation with Gerard Meszaros

Hi CAMUG Members,
We're excited to announce a renowned Agile-Veteran, Gerard Meszaros, who will be presenting at the next CAMUG session on "A Systems-Thinking Approach to Test Automation". Join us Thursday, November 5th, for an informative session on the state of agile testing from one of the earliest adopters of the topic!

Abstract:
Test Automation is one of the sexier practices in Agile but is it really the solution? If so, what problem is it solving? And are we talking about functional (whole system) or unit (module) testing? And which is more valuable: the automation or the the process that results in automated tests? (So many questions!! ARGHHHHH!) Join Gerard Meszaros as he takes a systems thinking approach to understanding our choices and how various practices, including TDD and ATDD, fit together. And what various members of the agile team, including testing, business and development (TBD for short) need to do to build the best possible product.

Bio:

He has coached teams doing XP, Scrum and Kanban based development at major companies on 4 continents and published papers on many aspects of agile software development at many of the early Agile and XP conferences.
